Yuriev’s house was located on Mira avenue, 40 in Mariupol city (Donetsk region).
Its history goes back to the end of XIX century, when lawyer Illya Yuriev built it. The story of this building is quite dark.
At first there was an editorial board, cinema, then orphanage, NKVD department (execution organization of USSR). During WWII secret police Gestapo was there.
After that war the building was restored and 3rd floor was added.
In 2022 Yuriev’s house was destroyed during the siege of Mariupol by russian fascist army.
